Psychoanalysis is…
alive...powerful...truth... for now & forever.
It is everywhere, & is for everyone.
- Vivian Eskin, PhD.
Welcome,
I provide care for individuals, couples, and families who are struggling—emotionally, internally, or in their relationships.
My work draws on psychoanalysis and object relations theory to understand how early relationships, emotional patterns, and the culture that shaped us continue to influence the present. I listen closely to what is spoken and what is not spoken, to emotional nuance, and to what may be difficult to put into words.
My Patients
I work with individuals seeking greater self-understanding, with couples navigating conflict, distance, or transition, and with families facing rupture, loss, or longstanding patterns that feel hard to change. The work unfolds at a pace that allows for careful listening and emotional depth, within a thoughtful and compassionate therapeutic relationship.
My practice includes psychoanalysis, individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and couple psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I also teach and provide clinical supervision, and am actively engaged in the training of clinicians.
My Approach
I listen with my eyes and ears for echoes of the past—attending to feeling, to contradiction, and to what has been carried and inherited quietly across time. Together, we give shape to what has been unspoken and make room for new ways of experiencing oneself and others.
The process of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy can be deeply transformative.
Are you considering it yourself? If so, let’s speak.
-
Psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy cultivate a reflective way of understanding one’s inner life—deepening self-awareness, easing psychological suffering, and creating the conditions for meaningful emotional growth and the freedom to live more fully.
-
Individual psychoanalytic therapy offers a safe, steady space to speak openly about your inner life—your feelings, relationships, memories, worries, and hopes—at your own pace.
There is no pressure to have the “right” words or a clear plan. You are invited to talk freely about whatever feels important, confusing, or difficult. Over time, patterns begin to make sense, emotions become more bearable, and new ways of relating—to yourself and to others—can emerge.
This kind of therapy values depth, reflection, and emotional truth. Change tends to be gentle but lasting, rooted in understanding rather than quick fixes. Many people experience greater self-compassion, emotional freedom, and a stronger sense of stability in their lives and relationships.
-
Relationships move through seasons of closeness and distance, longing and misunderstanding. Couple therapy offers a quiet space to listen—to yourself, to each other, and to the deeper patterns that shape your bond. Whether you are rebuilding trust, navigating grief, or longing for renewed intimacy, we work together to imagine and strengthen the couple you are becoming.
-
I provide clinical supervision for therapists seeking to deepen their clinical thinking, develop confidence in their own voice, and refine how they listen to the verbal and non-verbal both to their patients and to themselves in the work.
Supervision focuses not only on what to listen for, but how we listen—attending to affect, relational patterns, moments of impasse, and the subtle emotional currents that organize the clinical field. I am particularly attentive to helping supervisees find language that feels authentic and grounded in their own clinical sensibility.
